STILL exploring Sevilla, three months later

Well, with this being a weekend in Sevilla, I was eager to explore it more! Saturday morning, I woke up early and just went for a walk through the park by the university. I just recently found it but it is one of my favorite spots.

I met up with a couple friends and we walked to the Medieval Wall, because I wanted to climb it. Check that off the list! That wall apparently isn't doing a great job of keeping foreigners out! Then I think some lady called the cops on us, but we looked, there are no signs prohibiting scaling of the wall. Also, apparently my friend Alex found another way people could have gotten through the wall...

We wandered to a plaza that had a carnival going on and found this pretty fountain! Some men had old magazines and were just sitting by the fountain making paper boats and letting them float in the water. How harmlessly innocent and cute. Talk about enjoying the little things in life. I also enjoyed in an excellent piece of cake. I also dig these birds of paradise flowers.

From that point we found the river and decided to take that back to our side of town. Plot twist! We walked on the OTHER side of the river, and man, was that cool! We ran into Parque America, somthing I had never heard of, but ti was a giant park filled with green and flowers. It looked like it used to be gorgeous, but the fountains slowly broke over time and due to budget cuts there was no money to fix them. Now, all that is left are their remnants.

We also saw more cool graffiti!

That night we got together again to walk around the centro, which was great, we meandered through Santa Cruz, and walked into the Taste of America store. It is the only store in Sevilla that carries certain American foods, that you can't find anywhere! Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, marshmallows, peanut butter, pretzels, goldfish, skittles, brownie mix, REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUPS (which I have not bought because I am against eating American foods while I am here- but mark my words, they are the FIRST thing I am getting back in the states).
That was the jist of Saturday. I'll post Sunday's soccer game later.
REAL BETIS vs. REAL MADRID!
