Starting Granada y Malaga! (ciudades de Andalucia)

Granada and Malaga were amazing, but it leaves me thinking, there's no place like home :)

I took 758 pictures this weekend- I narrowed it down to my favorite 150. I think Granada and Malaga will take several posts.I also must mention the gorgeous run I went on today along the river- the bridges light up at night, and I get so caught up running, I forget how far I go! I have been consistently doing a 10K or more (way more than I ever ran in circles around Prosel Park, haha).

It was a great time, and I am stoked to return to Malaga with my 6th graders on Tuesday! They happen to be having a field trip I was just invited to- and hey, I'll take it! I am getting along great with the kids- and the way my schedule works out I literally have 9 preps. This'll be fun. It is like that for all the teachers though, so hey, when in Spain, do as the Spaniards, I suppose. Teaching English is much harder than anticipated because it comes so naturally to me- I really have to dissect the language to be able to explain why I speak the way I do.

I picked up a little teaching mechanism for teaching health. It made me laugh because it was all on living a healthy life style. Only in Spain would I read both these requirements for a healthy lifestyle:

Eat a piece of bread with each meal, and at least pasta or potatoes every night for dinner.

Can't make this up, it literally said: Always eat olive oil with your food- you can put it with anything.
...And man, they do. We have a sweet dough that is fried and covered in cinnamon, but I just can't get over the taste of olive oil. The label even boasts, calling it, "pan dulce de aceite." (Sweet bread with olive oil)

I will post pictures up from Granada and Malaga as soon as I can! It just takes some time for the photos to load.
